Lamberto Maggiorani (1909–1983) was a Roman actor who worked as a factory turner before Vittorio De Sica cast him as Antonio Ricci in Bicycle Thieves. The role made him a emblematic figure of Italian neorealism. He later worked as a full-time actor, mostly in smaller parts.
