Daniel Richter (born 1939) is an American actor and mime. He is best known for playing Moonwatcher, the ape-man leader, in Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, and for helping choreograph its "Dawn of Man" sequence. He later became associated with John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
