Paul Henreid was an Austrian-born actor and later director who became a Hollywood leading man in the 1940s. He is best remembered as the resistance leader Victor Laszlo in Casablanca and as Jerry Durrance in Now, Voyager, the latter famous for the two-cigarette scene. He also directed films and television.
