What happens
Dana and Marty release the facility's monsters, then learn they must die at dawn to appease the ancient gods. Instead, they refuse the sacrifice and let humanity end. The gods rise as the facility collapses.

What it says
The film turns its horror ritual into a moral choice: keep a cruel tradition going, or let it end. Dana and Marty's refusal makes them more than victims, and it asks you to weigh whether humanity deserves saving.
