Donatas Banionis (1924–2014) was a Lithuanian stage and screen actor born in Kaunas. He is best remembered internationally as Kris Kelvin, the lead in Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris. He was one of the leading Lithuanian actors of Soviet cinema, working in both Soviet and international productions.
