Frank Darabont is a French-born American director, screenwriter and producer, raised in Los Angeles by Hungarian parents. He is best known for adapting Stephen King's work, including The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist. He also developed the first season of TV's The Walking Dead.
