František Čáp (1913–1972) was a Czech-born director who worked in Czechoslovakia, Germany, where he was credited as Franz Cap, and Yugoslavia. After moving to Ljubljana in 1952, he made popular films such as Vesna and Our Car. He is regarded as a key figure in early Slovene cinema.
