Richard Widmark (1914–2008) was an American actor who debuted as the giggling killer Tommy Udo in Kiss of Death. He became a defining face of film noir through villain and anti-hero roles, then moved into westerns, war dramas and thrillers as a leading and supporting player across five decades.
