Miloš Forman (1932–2018) was a Czech-American director and a leading figure of the Czechoslovak New Wave. After his satire The Firemen's Ball was banned, he emigrated to the United States in 1968. There he made One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Amadeus, both multiple Oscar winners.
