When a secret government study of the Vietnam War begins to leak, she and her editor Ben Bradlee face a test of nerve, loyalty and the press's role. Brisk, dialogue-driven and earnest.

A late-career Spielberg film in the tradition of Hollywood newsroom dramas, and a companion piece to 1970s Watergate-era cinema. It is a modern, studio-scale example of the journalism-as-thriller genre.
