Piper
American
2016 · Directed by Alan Barillaro · 6 min
On a stretch of shoreline, a young sandpiper is shown how to feed herself by a patient mother. There is no dialogue: the story is told through movement, sound and the scale of a tiny bird in a very big landscape. It is a gentle, six-minute study in nature and nerves.
