A hopeless romantic, desperate to win over his crush, breaks a curious novelty known as the "One Wish Willow" and makes a request. Curry Barker's horror-thriller mixes awkward young-adult comedy with a steadily tightening unease.
Why it matters in cinema history
A recent horror-thriller that shows how filmmakers who built audiences online are moving into theatrical features, and how the wish-story tradition is still being reworked for new audiences.
