What happens

Agnes travels to London and watches Hamlet at the Globe. Seeing her son's loss carried in her husband's play, she understands what Will has made from their grief. She reaches toward the stage.

Agnes, among the crowd at the Globe, stretches her hand out toward the actors on stage.

What it says

The film asks whether turning private grief into public art takes something from a family. Here it answers gently: the play gives something back. Agnes reaches across the gap between husband and wife, audience and stage, the living and the dead.
